Collection of Card Decks

Collection of Card Decks is a documentary-led project exploring the personal story behind my flatmate K-C Franklin's passion for collecting playing cards and practising card magic. Through interviews, photography, and observational research, I investigated how her upbringing, cultural background, and personal experiences shaped this interest. To communicate these insights, I produced a short film that combines audio interviews, ambient sound, and visual storytelling to create an intimate portrait of her creative journey. The project was accompanied by a prototype website showcasing her card collection and story, demonstrating my ability to combine research, storytelling, photography, film, and digital design into a cohesive narrative experience.
