Yantra

Yantra is a modular typeface inspired by the geometric forms and symmetry of traditional Mandala artwork. Named after the Sanskrit word for a sacred geometric diagram, the project explores the intersection of cultural heritage and contemporary typography. Using FontStruct and a custom grid system, I developed a complete typeface built from simple geometric shapes, combining sleek curves, checkered details, and bold forms. The final outcome includes a full character set, an A1 poster, and a type specimen, showcasing my ability to translate research and visual systems into functional typographic design.
